An elevator drops 38 metres into the rock behind the Horseshoe Falls. You walk through tunnels carved in 1889 to two observation portals where you see the falls from behind, plus an outdoor lower observation deck at the base. Free poncho included. Open year round, even on the coldest winter days when the falls are partly frozen.

An elevator from Goat Island descends 53 metres into the Niagara Gorge. You then walk on a wooden boardwalk built fresh every spring, ending at the Hurricane Deck just 6 metres from the cascading Bridal Veil Falls. The water hits you with hurricane force, you will be drenched even through the included biodegradable poncho.
